A gala fashion event produced by Oneesan Inc., Fantaisies dans le Monde des Rêves is the premier event for the expansion of Gothic and Lolita fashion in the U.S. Dated for 28th - 31st May 2010 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA, the heart of Silicon Valley, we once again aim to push through the boundaries of the norm in order to bring the best of events to a select public.
The guests of honour at the event not only include returning household name Angelic Pretty, but introduce esteemed labels to the United States; Atelier-Pierrot, recognised as the defining brand of the Gothic and Elegant movement and promoter of a wide variety of independent labels; Chantilly, founded and run by Fumiko, a well-respected designer that has worked with Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, and Moi Même Moitié; Vivicore, the first non-Japanese Lolita fashion company gaining worldwide attention with its Cute Salad and Candy Violet labels, and noted for its unique blend of classical English and Japanese influences.
Our featured main event "Fantaisies dans le Monde des Rêves" will take place on Saturday, May 29 at 1pm.* New and conceptual styles from these designers will be featured at a fashion show , live concert featuring guest star musical performance Kokusyoku Sumire, and tea party. Other events include a celebrity talk show with the designers of the three featured brands, food services available for all Oneesan ticket holders, a variety of games and other activities, several as-of-yet unrevealed activities for our VIP guests, as well as the return of a newer and expanded “Magical Boutique” allowing guests a chance to enjoy a true Harajuku shopping experience. Miss Gothic and Lolita USA 2010 is a new segment addition to our main event, similar to Miss USA. Unlike any other snapshot contests, contestants for this title will be judge by a number of factors beyond just a simple image. Please see our the official Miss Gothic and Lolita USA rules for details. Winner will be scored, crowned and decreed Miss Gothic and Lolita USA by our guest celebrities and designers. Not only be crowned as Miss Gothic and Lolita for the year, but also will be immortalized in a major Japanese street fashion magazine as well our website archives, plus other prizes and privileged only to the holder of this title.
